Links

Back in the day pages of links were a far more prominent part of any website, elavated to the status of proper content rather than being tucked away behind a microscopic bit of text in the footer. Who cares if people leave your site? Hopefully they'll have been enriched while they were here (Earth Dream will never be .com millionaires). We at Earth Dream think that we should revive that proud tradition. Although the tone of the content on this site may seem a little light-entertainment the issues are very real, and we hope that your interest might be piqued enough for you to want to read further. There are sites that we've found that will enable you to do just that, many of them are on this page. The only reason links appear on this page are because we like the sites and/or find them useful reading on the general Earth Dream theme.

  • Axis of Justice. Social responsibility from a couple of rock musics most politically charged performers.
  • About.com's environment pages. This links to their ten tips on reducing global warming, which is like our two five things articles combined but not as imaginative, informative, or stylishly written. Bugle bugle.
  • Google.org - Google.org aspires to use the power of information and technology to address the global challenges of our age: climate change, poverty and emerging disease.
  • Friends of the Earth - Friends of the Earth exists to protect and improve the conditions for life on Earth, now and for the future. In that respect it's sort of like Earth Dream. A really really hard working Earth Dream. A really really hard working po-faced killjoy politics-of-envy ridden version of Earth Dream.
  • Treehugger.com from the people behind the Discovery Channel is stuffed full of articles about the enironment and our impact on it. Many of the factiods in our cool little "Did you know" box at the top of each page have been inspired by things we've read on there.
  • DIY Advanced High Performance Electric Vehicle Conversion Project - Victor Tikhonov's hobby is converting his ageing Honda into a full blown road legal electric car. He first achieved this in 1995, and has upgraded every part of it since. A fact which should shame major auto manufacturers who are yet to make this a reality.
  • Green Options - A network of blogs devoted to environmental issues, natural resources, education and discussion.
  • Handmade Jewellery from Holistic Balance. Because it's always good to shamelessly promote your friends products. Go look.

We'll be adding more links to this page as we find them. If you think you have a site that we should be checking out we'll be adding a method to submit your link soon, in the meantime you could try linking to us and we'll find you ;)
